Youtube is the world's biggest Video sharing site, but it remains unprofitable for google

Youtube doesn't pull in much money for google despite attracting over 1 billion viewers a month. Google spends so much money now paying people to post certain content and supplying them with things they need to make that content that they barely break even. This is despite Youtube earning nearly 4 billion dollars a year, all of that is used so that profit ends up being minimal. Youtube right now only accounts for about 6% of Google's yearly profit despite a 33% rise in it's own profit from last year. Things like Addblock have hurt youtube's add money profit overtime. This could mean changes to youtube's format in the future, expect less money going towards user created video's and more of a television like experience.

Anatomy and Physiology

My teacher for Anatomy and Physiology is Mr. Mann. He is a really cool teacher and even though his class is difficult he gives students many chances to improve their grades. He is a teacher I can be really open with and talk about any thing because he likes me and he understands how to interact with his students. He teaches mainly by going over the material and allowing the students to take notes if they want. However the course is interesting and Mann makes it extra fun.

I expected the class to offer a more basic understanding of all the body parts, however Anatomy and Physiology ended up being a lot more then that. It goes into a lot more detail about more specific functions and smaller particles.

So far the class has taught all about what causes our body to operate the way it does properly. We have taken a look into all the different planes of the body and labeled the parts of the body accordingly. I always knew our bodies were highly complex but before this class I had no idea how crazy it really was.

Mr. Mann has a pretty normal grading policy. He is very fair with his projects and since most students do poor on the tests he gives multiple opportunities to improve.

We learn things in class by doing projects and labeling the different parts of the body. For example, most recently we drew, labeled, and colored a diagram of the heart and all the little things that the normal person wouldn't know. It ends up looking something like this...

Technology is used for taking notes from the computer or finding information to complete projects/study guides.

Below I will provide a video that will introduce new people to Anatomy!

Backpacks That Pack Power for Mobile Devices

Back pack makers have found an opportunity to make lots of cash of people's need to carry around lots of mobile devices with them when they travel. All these devices have one thing in common, they need to be charged. So They have created backpacks that have the ability to charge multiple devices at once on the go and even track their whereabouts. For those who need to charge and protect devices on the go, Tylt’s $170 Energi Plus Backpack includes a 10,400 mAh battery, which can charge three devices simultaneously. It only works for phones and tablets however, not laptops.

Educational Technology and Copyright Law

From the article I learned the power of copyright laws. However things that are not licensed can be used for educational or work purposes as long as the idea is not being stolen for profit. However if the work is licensed you need to view the guidelines of the license before you use it or else you could get into trouble. For the most part anything not being used for profit could be used for your own reasons unless it specifically says otherwise. So you can feel safe drawing something that you find on the internet for school.

The Technology that Unmasks Your Hidden Emotions

Paul Ekman is a famous face reader. The 80-year-old psychologist pioneered the study of facial expressions in the 1970s, creating a catalog of more than 5,000 muscle movements to show how the subtlest wrinkling of the nose or lift of an eyebrow reveal hidden emotions.
Now, a group of young companies are using Dr. Ekman’s research as the backbone of a technology that relies on algorithms to analyze people’s faces and potentially discover their deepest feelings. Collectively, they are amassing an enormous visual database of human emotions, seeking patterns that can predict emotional reactions and behavior on a massive scale.
So far it is being used mostly for market research however this technology could have many uses in society. The technology has the potential to help people or even save lives. For example, Cameras that could sense when a trucker is exhausted might prevent him from falling asleep at the wheel, or putting cameras embedded with emotion sensing software in a classroom, could help teachers determine whether they are holding their students’ attention.
