Do Now: May 18th, Changing the World.

My Desire to make the world a better place is ignited by my personal experiences and standard mindset. It's just the way I think and perhaps dealing with a lot of the stuff I have dealt with has played a role. I don't think it's fair to treat others in a way to put them down, and I think you should treat others how you would want them to treat you. You never know the power your words or actions can have on our minds.

NASA chief scientist: 'Indications' of alien life by 2025

They may not be "Star Trek"-type extraterrestrials, but we may be close to finding evidence of alien life, a NASA scientist says.
"I think we're going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth within a decade, and I think we're going to have definitive evidence within 20 to 30 years," NASA chief scientist Ellen Stofan said Tuesday during a panel discussion on the universe.
"We know where to look. We know how to look," she said. "In most cases, we have the technology, and we're on a path to implementing it. And so I think we're definitely on the road."

Invisible Do Now 5/11/15

If I was invisible and had to do a good deed I would do that deed and spend the rest of the day doing the stuff I want to do. I wouldn't do anything bad probably although I would definitely be encouraged to do wrong. I would probably do more then one good deed though if I was invisible, just because I know I could make a difference. Most of the time though I would just be having fun and taking advantage of what I usually can't do.

The good deed I would do is probably explore an area that no normal person can explore and enjoy it but also go back and tell the world everything I saw. That is the only type of thing I can think of that I couldn't do when I am not invisible. The rest is just stuff that I couldn't normally do with people watching me. Now it doesn't matter what they think.

Writing Prompt 5/5/15

If I could add a class to our school curriculum I would add a wood-shop class. I think we had this class once but not anymore but it's important for students to learn how to do more outside there brain. The class would meet 3 times a week after school and students are responsible for showing up and getting there work done on time. The students would create things they could never before and for projects use their own imagination.

The class would like look a room filled with empty spaces and wood and lots of area for building. It would probably be identifiable by it's smell since people will be in there cutting wood. It would smell like a construction site. It would be loud while students are working but quiet as long as kids keep their tools off while the teacher is instructing. Students would have all the things they made to show off in the end.
